A consistent and driving overnight rain, which did not stop in the morning made for the unenviable task of tearing down and packing up an soaking wet tent which, incidentally we didn’t sleep in either night! Perhaps an exercise in futility, perhaps practice for later! Wet seems to be accompanied by dirty in the campsite so the surprisingly hot showers in the Meadows Campground (Mount Robson Provincial Park) were most rewarding.
Without a particular goal or destination for the day we set out with our only intention of covering some serious territory. After several hours on the road, some quiet, some quite chatty, we made the decision to actually strive for the Alcan Highway. A quick stop in Prince George, complete with some directions and a funny story from a construction worker and our next destination was Mile 0, Dawson Creek.
