8/14/08 - Yukon - Watson Lake - Simpson Lake

Wildlife!  Our last day in BC produced lots of roadside action.

After crossing into the Yukon near Watson Lake, we stopped for groceries, gas and free library internet access.  Although a bit rustic and retro, all amenities were available and usable.  From Watson Lake, we headed up Highway 4, aka the Robert Campbell Highway.  A rough and dusty road, the highway led us to the Simpson Lake where a secluded, tranquil and nearly empty campground (with free firewood!) enticed us in for the night.
