This restaurant and
nightclub served nouveau cuisine from a menu created by local celebrity chef,
Diego. It is currently undergoing a
renovation (Jan 2009) so may very well change it’s menu or style. |

Puerto Viejo |
Olas Altas y Sixto Osuna |

Oceanview restaurant/bar
with decent outdoor seating, especially popular with resident gringos for
happy hour and sunset. Nachos sencillos are a delicious bargain menu item.
Supposedly karaoke on Tues and Thurs but we didn't grace/assault our ears
with it. |

Food stand on the south
middle side of market (Leandro Valle).
We think the chicken enchiladas here are a fabulous deal and to die
for - a lighter style topped with lettuce, carrots and a thin delicious
savory sauce. |

Katana Sushi |

Good selection of fresh fish
but the elaborate style menu left me wanting simple sushi preparations. However you can order plain nigiri which
are generous cuts and very affordable. |

only seen him on Sunday evenings. There is another churro vendor east of the
Plaza Republica from 4-8pm on weekdays only - go early to get fresh ones as
she tends to stockpile later in the day. |
